What is your Holiday decorating style?

Thanksgiving is officially over and you know what that means! Time to get into the Holiday Spirit. It seems every year I see new ideas and fun trends to try when decorating my home for the holidays. Some years I am feeling super nostalgic and think, ‘Oh, I want to decorate like my mom used to!’ and other years I want to do the trendy black, white and gold idea.

I’ve narrowed down some holiday styles that can help you find your Holiday Decorating Style.

1. Snowy White

We’ve all seen this look, but hey- these holiday pieces will always be in style. Decorating with white frosted greenery, silver mercury accent pieces and clear glass bulbs will add some fanciness to this timeless style.

2. Farmhouse Style

Of course we need to include this style as the farmhouse look is very in right now. I always love throwing in some buffalo check wherever possible!  Add touches of wood, rustic metal and a chalkboard memo and you’re ready for guests.

3. Black, White and Gold All Over

I can’t get enough of this style- I think it has a touch of glam that naturally fits into the New Years season as well.

4. Colorful

This style is playful and your kids can help make decorations. This keeps things light, happy and fun for the holidays.

5. Plaid on plaid on plaid

I really enjoy plaid… and lots of it. I don’t think you can overdo the plaid around the holidays. The more the merrier.

6. Keep It Neutral

So many families and friends have many different things to celebrate at the holidays, so keeping your decor neutral and simple can appeal to everyone during the holidays.

7. Mixed Metals

Mixing silver, gold and copper is an easy way to add a bit of sparkle to your holiday decor.

8. Classic Red

Last but not least, the timeless, classic- red.

Which holiday decor style are you? I find I am different every year 🙂
